Top 10 Ranking Podcasts at SQLI Digital Experience Agency
.

Podcast and more broadly digital audio listeners audience has grown more and more in the last few years. That makes perfect sense: our lives are literally invaded by any kind of screen and sometimes we just do not want to have to look to another damn screen!

I personally love to just sit, relax and listen to some nice story. Sometimes it can be at home — in the evening — having a hot cup of tea, or taking advantage of the 30 minutes commuting from home to work.

So I decided to ask my dear colleagues which podcasts they usually listen to and make a list out of it.

Beware: we are a melting pot of digital geeks, social marketers, business strategists, UX/UI designers, developers, hardcore gamers… and from a lot of different origins: Switzerland, France, Italy, Germany, US to list a few.

So here are our favorites podcasts:

1. 99% invisible

3. The Tim Ferriss Show

Tim Ferriss is a self-experimenter and bestselling author, best known for The 4-Hour Workweek. Newsweek calls him “the world’s best human guinea pig,” and The New York Times calls him “a cross between Jack Welch and a Buddhist monk.” In this show, he deconstructs world-class performers from eclectic areas, digging deep to find the tools, tactics, and tricks that listeners can use.

4. Unregistered with Thaddeus Russell

A show about what you’re not supposed to say. Thaddeus Russell, author of A Renegade History of the United States, interviews people who break the rules of conventional discourse and expand the realm of the possible.

5. Anatomy of Next

In the second season of Anatomy of Next, explore every aspect of going to Mars, transforming it into a habitable world, and building a new branch of human civilization. How do we bring a cold, dead planet back to life? Can we build an atmosphere on Mars, thaw the frozen plains, and build an ocean? How do we seed a barren land with life, and make a red Mars green? Then, it’s everything from politics and education to money, music, and architecture. What does it mean to be human in an alien world?

6. Seth Godin’s Startup School

Seth Godin is a thought leader in the marketing and business world. In this rare live recording, hear Seth as he guides thirty entrepreneurs through a workshop exploring how they can build and run their dream business.

7. Google Design Podcasts

8. Talk Nerdy with Cara Santa Maria

9. Strangers

From Lea Thau, Peabody award-winning producer and former Director of The Moth, comes the storytelling podcast Strangers. Strangers is hosted and produced by Lea Thau, with music and mixing by Paul Dreux Smith. Each episode is an empathy shot in your arm, featuring true stories about the people we meet, the connections we make, the heartbreaks we suffer, the kindnesses we encounter, and those frightful moments when we discover that WE aren’t even who we thought we were.

10. Love Your Work

How do you find your calling? How do you focus to follow it? On the Love Your Work podcast, now with over half a million downloads, David Kadavy interviews creative entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, authors, and startup founders who have carved out success by their own definition.

If I had to pick just one to recommend, I would choose “99% Invisible”. It shows how design is in everything: each episode is a true new discovery!
